This Privacy policy will describe how we collect, use, and handle your personal information when you use our websites, software, and services ('Services'). We value privacy and want you to understand what you are sharing with us. This policy applies to you who are using Sigsync and all the users you have that are using Sigsync services. We take our privacy responsibilities seriously and are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to services offered through our websites and to services that we provide in connection with our Software. Our websites contain links to other websites. Once redirected to a website outside of our domains, this Privacy Policy is no longer applicable.

Users can access Sigsync services (the "Services'') through our websites, add-ons on a device and Office 365 admin center. A "Device" is any computer used to access the Services, including without limitation a desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, tablet or other consumer electronic device. This Privacy Policy governs your access to Sigsync services, regardless of how you access it, and by using our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses described in this Privacy Policy. All of the different forms of data, content and information described below are collectively referred to as "information".

What information we collect and how its used

Device information: We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access the Services. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use and identifiers associated with your devices. Your devices (depending on their settings) may also transmit location information to the Services.

Cookies: We use cookies on our websites to provide, improve, protect, and promote our Services. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Services, and improving them based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Services. We collect your IP address as it is necessary for technical purposes related to the administration of our servers. We will not be able to identify you based only on your IP address.

Account information: Due to the nature of our Services, we must collect personal information from users during the registration process including first and last names, home and/or business postal addresses, an email address, organization name and contact details. If you purchase a license, a valid credit card to process payment for service will be stored in Stripe (PCI Compliant). Depending on the context in which you provide your personal data to us, we may use this data e.g. to perform an agreement concluded with you, fulfill statutory data retention obligations (e.g. resulting out of tax law or accounting law regulations), communicate with you and prepare quotations for you, inform you about updates and bug fixes, seek your feedback on our Software and pursue other legitimate goals (e.g. prevent ourselves against fraud).

Usage information: We collect information related to how you use the Services, including actions you take in your account. We use this information to improve our Services, develop new services and features, and protect Sigsync users. Please refer to our FAQ for more information about how we use this usage information to improve our Services.

Marketing: We give users the option to use some of our Services free on trial versions. These trial versions are made possible by the fact that some users upgrade to one of our paid Services. If you register for our free Services, we will, from time to time, send you information about upgrades when permissible. Users who receive these marketing materials can opt out at any time. If you do not want to receive marketing materials from us, simply click the Unsubscribe link in any email, or update your Opt out section of your Sigsync account. We may send emails to provide and improve our Service, to better understand your needs and interests, to personalize and improve your experience, to provide or offer software updates and to provide product announcements.

We may also temporarily process data which belongs to your organization if you want to use our technical support services and decide to share program and system logs with us.

Who do we share information with?

We do not voluntarily share personally identifiable information with any third party without the user's express consent or unless compelled by applicable state and federal laws. We may share information as discussed below, but we won’t sell it to advertisers or other third parties.

Stewardship of your data is critical to us and a responsibility that we embrace. We believe that your data should receive the same legal protections regardless of whether it’s stored on our Services or on your home computer’s hard drive. We’ll abide by the following Government Request Principles when receiving, scrutinizing, and responding to government requests (including national security requests) for your data:

  • Fight blanket requests,
  • Protect all users, and
  • Provide trusted services.

We publish a Transparency Report as part of our commitment to informing you about when and how governments ask us for information. Service Providers, Business Partners and Others: We may use certain trusted third party companies and individuals to help us provide, analyze, and improve the Service (including but not limited to database management, web analytics, payment processing, and improvement of the Service's features). Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants and business analysts. Support involved in solving your enquiries, for example, by facilitating a live chat with one of our team. These third parties may have access to your information only for purposes of performing these tasks on our behalf and under obligations similar to those in this Privacy Policy.

Users: We will display your personal information in your profile page. You can review and revise your profile information and billing information at any time by accessing dashboard and your account. We may also share or disclose your information with your consent, for example if you use a third party application to access your account (see below).

Retention: When you sign up for an account with us, we’ll retain information as long as your account is in existence or as long as we need it to provide you the Services. If you request to delete your account, Please note: (1) there might be some latency in deleting this information from our database; and (2) we may retain this information if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Non-private or Non-Personal Information: We may disclose your non-private, aggregated, or otherwise non-personal information, such as usage statistics of our Service. Our Service may also offer publicly accessible community services such as blogs, forums, and wikis. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. Your posts may remain even after you cancel your account.

Right to withdraw consent

In the limited circumstances where you may have provided your consent to the collecting, processing and transfer of your personal information for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent for that specific processing at any time. To withdraw your consent, please contact privacy-mail in writing using the contact details set out at the beginning of this privacy policy. Once we have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your personal information for the purpose or purposes you originally agreed to, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so

You have the right to lodge a complaint about the way we handle or process your personal information/Personal Data with your national data protection regulator. However, we hope you will contact Sigsync first ( privacy-mail ) so Sigsync can try to address your complaint directly.

Changes in the organization

If we are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will notify you (for example, via a message to the email address associated with your account) of any such deal and outline your choices in that event.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time, and will post the most current version on our website and inform you via email when it's updated.

We may not accommodate a request to delete information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.
