Rule Execution Flow

If you have created more than one rule, an email may satisfy more than one rule condition. To address this scenario, you can use the  (   ) Set Priority button to prioritize the rule execution flow. The rule execution flow is based on the priority you assigned to the rules above. Higher priority rules are executed first, followed by the lower priority rules. If, for example, you need to add an email signature to both your marketing and IT departments and you assign a higher rule priority to the marketing team, the rule execution flow will assign the signature to the marketing team first, followed by the IT department (having lower priority), depending on the options you set in the Rule Execution Flow. If you have multiple rules set, you can even stop processing the next rule in this manner or make the flow execute the next rules in line.

If no rule is created on the Signature Rule page, the DefaultRule settings will be used, and this rule will have the highest priority. Before selecting the Rule Execution Flow, create a rule based on Senders, Recipients, or Keywords.

 

Change priority of the rules by using up (▲) and down (▼) buttons.

  • Go to the next rule – If this rule is not applied

    This option allows you to execute the next rule, if this rule is not applied.
