How to use App passwords with Sigsync Email Signature Service?
Sigsync service requires global admin access during connectors configuration. As an additional security you can set Multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your Office 365 global admin account and you can change password after completing the configuration. During Sigsync Email Signature connectors configuration if you use your Office 365 account password when MFA is enabled, then you will get an error like below:
Connecting to remote server outlook.office365.com failed with the following error message : MI_RESULT_FAILED For more information, see the about_Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic.
To avoid this you need to use App password instead of Office 365 password.Click here to Enable Multi-Factor Authentication if you have not set MFA yet.
After Multi-factor authentication is enabled for your Office 365 account, create / get the App password from Office 365 and use this App password for Sigsync connectors configuration.
